ocr: SWAN The aim of the SWAN (Solar Wind Anistropies) instrument is to monitor the latitude distribution of the solar wind by the Lyman- alpha method. As such, it can be qualified as solar wind mapper. The main scientitic objective is to determine the large-scale solar wind proton flux distribution.
